TOUR GUIDE DRIVER
Wine Valley Safari is a new company which offers tours to various attractions in the Robertson area. We are looking for a person who is an energetic, reliable, honest, punctual driver. The person should be courteous, friendly and well groomed with excellent customer relations and communication skills. A self-motivated person that work well independently.
Requirements:
Tour Guide qualification with sound knowledge of the Robertson Wine Valley and its surrounding areas
First Aid certificate
Code 10 Driver licence with valid PDP
Experience in driving a 4 ton truck will be an advantage
Numerical and administration skills will be an advantage
Must be fluent in English
Preference will be given to people living in or near Robertson (with own transport to get to work)
Willing to work long hours, shifts and/or over weekends
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the owners of Wine Valley Safari the incumbent will be responsible to relate the Robertson Wine Valley in a coherent professional manner to visitors and conduct research about the history of the towns, the wine industry, the route stops and the offerings at local tourist attractions.
Referring to the tour schedule to obtain tour times and numbers
Check tour guide equipment
Clean the vehicle every day before the tour commence.
Receiving tourists and assess their needs and co-ordinate the necessary arrangements
Process ticket purchases (via card payments)
Acquainting passengers with the tour structure, amenities and rules
Drive the vehicle and managing stops during the tour
Discuss information and implement information into the tour
Keep record and obtain customer feedback to report back to management
Assist in marketing duties from meeting with accommodation partners, photographing passengers and distributing marketing material.
